Sindoro Sumbing Triathlon is an annual event organized by the Triathlon Jateng community in collaboration with FTI Kabupaten Wonosobo, KONI Kabupaten Wonosobo, KONI Jateng, and the Wonosobo Regency Government to introduce the sport of triathlon to the public. The event also aims to promote the tourism potential of Wonosobo Regency, particularly the Blembem Tea Plantation, which offers cool air and beautiful natural panoramas beneath Mount Sindoro and Sumbing. The 2025 event will be the 6th edition, titled "Sindoro Sumbing Triathlon #6". This challenging event tests athletes' mental and physical endurance. Categories include Triathlon, Duathlon, Aquathlon, and Relay. The Triathlon involves a 750m swim in Telaga Bedakah, a 20km bike ride on asphalt roads around Pagerejo, and a 5km run on asphalt roads around Pagerejo. The start is at Telaga Bedakah, and the finish is at Lapangan Pagerejo. This is the second time the event is held at this venue. For Youth categories: 350m swim, 10km cycle, 2.5km run. The Duathlon requires a 5km run on asphalt roads, followed by a 20km bike ride with challenging uphill and downhill sections and sharp turns, and finally a 2.5km trail run on dirt and rocky paths through cool, clean tea plantations. For Youth Duathlon: 2.5km run, 10km cycle, and 1.25km trail run. The Aquathlon involves a 1000m swim in Danau Badakah followed by a 5km run around the plantations. For Youth Aquathlon: 500m swim, 2.5km run. Relay events are team-based, with each athlete participating in only one discipline. In addition to the competition, participants can join community activities in Desa Pagerejo, Kecamatan Kretek, including the Festival Tenongan and lantern flying. The total prize money is Rp. 150 million.
